Mill Creek Baseball Club (MCBC) was created to provide a competitive, local, and affordable tournament league experience for Mill Creek Little League players, which is complementary to Little League at all age levels. We value positive attitude and strong work ethic in our players, and strive for optimal skill development. As a club, we pledge to maintain integrity and financial transparency, and keep the focus on player development. Being a nonprofit organization, MCBC will not benefit financially from your child’s participation.
Players will receive select-level skill training throughout the year, and will play in several tournaments. Coaches will determine the specific training and tournament schedule appropriate to their player’s age-division. Goals will be set for players which are challenging but achievable. Coaches will provide consistent training across ages, introducing fundamental elements early and building on them at each age-level to develop skilled players who are well-prepared for each new division.
MCBC has taken on a partnership with Base by Pros in Lynnwood for winter training. Although this training is recommended and is a great way to develop baseball skills, it is not a requirement for play in MCBC tournaments.
In MCBC tournaments, coaches will select the best player for each position, and play time will be earned. There will be no minimum play rules. We will field one team per age group and all players will receive equal training opportunities. If a MCBC team does not have enough available players to participate in a particular tournament, its coach may call on other players from Mill Creek Little League to complete the team. In order to maintain healthy players who are able to enjoy baseball for many years to come, MCBC will focus on player wellness and injury prevention, and maintain collective pitch counts with Mill Creek Little League.
MCBC coaches have been carefully selected by our board from within Mill Creek Little League. Coaches volunteer their time and manage teams within both organizations. Although each of our coaches has been selected based on the skill & talent he/she can bring to the organization and the team, we also value growth and development. We will provide high-level training and support collaboration so our coaches and thereby your players will continue to develop and improve over time.
